To all the members of the Yorkton Curling Club Inc.

Welcome everyone to another curling season!

Like all other organizations and companies, our club prepares a budget every year. We seek ways to improve our revenue situation to assist with covering increasing expenses while at the same time attempting to keep our membership fees as low as possible.

Due to the continued decrease in our general membership and fluctuation in our sponsorships, we have been forced to find new ways of raising funds to help us pay for maintaining our ice, paying rent and covering all our other general operating expenses.

In a normal year, the Yorkton Curling Club would experience a 5% increase to our rent expense. This year, we are being faced with a 10% increase as the City of Yorkton has included an additional 5% for capital

improvements to the parking lot.

We are pleased with everyone's efforts to improve our revenue situation in all areas. The following table provides a breakdown of each revenue category and the % that it covers of our operating expenses.

We would like to acknowledge the contribution all of our sponsors have made to our club. We appreciate all of their support and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future.

We value the commitment and efforts of all the bonspiel committees in preparing for successful bonspiels and look forward to watching some good curling throughout the season.

And, our club would be nothing without continued support of our volunteers who commit their time again and again to help us achieve success in any event we host. Coming up from Dec. 2-4, 2011 is our 5th annual Saskatchewan Women's Curling Tour bonspiel. To make this spiel a success for our club, we need volunteers. Please sign up at the curling club office.
